Death is probably not the most comical or laugh-inducing topic. What is funny is the “death business” – especially the people involved in it. From eccentric funeral parlor employees to off-the-wall customers to grieving family members, the death industry offers more than its share of comedy, from the low-key chuckle to the outright belly laugh.
“Mortified” is a dramedy television series about a man who inherits a funeral parlor from his recently deceased uncle. After initially intending to sell it, given his bleak financial staus, he decides to give it a go as the owner, realizing that the continued operation of the business might ultimately be more profitable.
